Installation Of A Large Robot Within A Small Test Cell

Wheel Lab had to meet the challenge of installing a large robot within a very small test cell.

When the doors of the test cell are just big enough for the robot to squeeze through, we knew we had a challenge. How did we solve this problem? Good team work, accurate measurements, and the use of virtual modelling techniques, including detailed structural analysis, allowed Wheel Lab to design the structural package that allowed the robot to be installed safely, and to the customers specifications.

Innovative Robot Tooling

We developed an innovative orbital sander that integrates to a Schunk quick-change tooling handler. Fast and flexible robotic automation tooling for dusty wood and composite sanding operations. Lightweight and low cost.
